Saturday 25 March 2000 again
Disaster had to strike. Oh well. What happened is I was so preoccupied with making sure the shark worked properly in the elim subarenas that I neglected to check the other ships, and somehow I was using for a base what I think must have been Captain Cohn's old elim settings instead of mine

Somehow I still managed to hold most of the SCF regulars (if you're reading this you are probably one of them, so I'm not sure why I mention this, heh)...as soon as I got the elim stuff working we went to Thrull's map. As I predicted, it rules. :) Anyway I shut off elim mode so you can FFA in there. The arena it's in is sheepy3.

And now I am stuck offline again because GTE sucks. Oh well. GG all. I'm going to sleep. :P

If you miss Sheepy Wonderland 2 you are going to be very sad, because Sheepy Wonderland 2 is going to completely rock. I hate to brag. I seriously hate that, but I have to say this. Sheepy Wonderland is going to rock ass. The settings are honed, the evil custom SCF Shark is back, I have two new maps I am very happy with PLUS one by Thrull which is going to be AMAZING.

After that I have two Warball games set up, and if there are enough people I have Bloodbath primed for the finale. BUT WAIT. There's more! They're each set up in their own arenas so there will be no more getting kicked off the server between every change. You'll just type ?go sheepy4 or whatever, and in you go.

I would like to thank hedcase1 and Black Cobra and Mackieman for all the p1mpage and support and whatnot, plus anyone else. It means a lot, plus it's just amazing how vibrant this community is becoming now, right out of the blue.

My connection has been dropping without warning lately, sometimes for up to an hour, so if I don't come to my own event, that's the reason. Should that happen, be advised of the subarenas in question: sheepy1, sheepy2, sheepy3, sheepy4, sheepy5, and bloodbath.

As part of my new do-it-yourself policy with regard to the SCF, specifically my efforts in the main arena, I am going to be keeping this page updated with information about the goings on there. Subarenas will remain in their usual state and are the jurisdiction of Mine GO BOOM and/or whoever created the subarena in question.

I'm doing two things in the main arena. Sheepy Wonderland is a Saturday event designed to replace Slayfest. Black Cobra's All Out War events are now in and around the old Slayfest time so Sheepy Wonderland is scheduled for Saturday afternoons at 1:00pm EST. A join homepage for this event and AOW will soon be going up at Subspace.Net.

During the rest of the week, the main SCF arena will be used for a community map building project called Sheeprush, where players can stake out a plot of land and build a base or arena to their liking. With this in mind, there is a Rabbit Chase flag game set up now. Meanwhile the center of the map will be running a powerball game. Although the flag and powerball settings are tweaked some, the ship configurations are SVS with the exception of the Shark. (There is no SVS Shark.)

Visit the Sheeprush Homepage for more information on this.

Well, I did design a whole new scenario, Convergence Over Apprentice Point, and even ran it. Thanks for the luck.

Come to think of it, we didn't have much luck, although it still turned out to be a fun event. As I mentioned on the Minefield, I plan to rerun the scenario this weekend which a better game plan, hopefully less problems with the flags, and a polished map.

We didn't run the SVS test until after the scenario because it took quite a bit of work in-zone on the settings for this scenario. The usual kick ass bunch of die hard Slayfesters showed for the test and we had a little flag game going in the infamousRun! map, which I am proud to say is the most hated Subspace map of all time. Quite a lot of fun. Of course Mine GO BOOM had his goofy shark out for the evening. These settings will be used in an upcoming zone whose name is a secret. :)

Updated the Scenarios page.

Going to try and design a whole scenario tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Before this weekend's Slayfest, if there is time, I'd like some help testing some settings. This is my SVS config (or 99.4% SVS if you are picky) which has been running in the Slayfest post-game show for God alone knows how long, but a long time. They are nearing what feels like "completion" and I will be using them for something a bit more permanent soon. Any help with this would be appreciated. I'll probably give them 15 minutes to a half hour at the beginning of Slayfest depending on the zone's willingness to help out.

There will indeed be a Dawn of the Dead scenario for Halloween. As with the last run, it will be two nights--rather, early Halloween morning and late Halloween evening. We will use brand new custom maps for this.

I am a rock. I am an island.

This will serve as the homepage for the Sheep Cloning Facility for now, since all the other pages are not in working order and the SCF has taken on a less active role. With Captain Harloch and SilentDragon tied up with other things and myself usually focusing on what will be going on for Slayfest on a given weekend, the Sheep Cloning Facility has become a fairly casual zone mainly known as a venus for Mine GO BOOM's tinkering with settings and as a sanctuary for displaced zones and zone authors who can't get hosting or would like to test new ideas.

Any important news having to do with the SCF will go on the Minefield, but I will use this page for now as a log of what is done there on my watch, as well as to post anything of relevance from Mine GO BOOM, subarena operators, or anyone else who uses the zone.

As a last note before I open the champagne, a shout out to Khris Kruel, without whom there would be no Slayfest.
